About the Doula
I live in Brainerd, Minnesota and I have 3 adult kids that were natural births in a hospital with midwives. I am also a thankful for my two grandbabies.
I'm very interested in healthy foods, natural medicine and living life simply.
As a doula I get to help women do the important work of having their babies in the way that best suits them and their families and I've been told that I bring encouragement and peace to my work. My experience includes working with doctors, nurses and midwives at birth centers, hospitals and home births. I am certified with DONA (Doulas of North America), and a Certified Lactation Consultant (CLC) through the Academy of Lactation Policy and Practice/Healthy Children Project. I am very excited to be a part of the Childbirth Community of Central Minnesota .
If you're interested in working with a doula, I'd love to talk with you. Contact me here.

What is a Doula?
A doula is a trained labor support person. Doulas are entirely non-medical and do not give the care that a doctor or midwife would provide. Doulas provide physical comfort, emotional and informational support, and continuous care through pregnancy to postpartum. Have more questions about doulas? Click here.
Studies show that doula-supported births are shorter, and have fewer complications and incidences of postpartum depression. Learn more about how doulas support better birth outcomes at DONA.org.
